Design Services

All websites are designed around client needs and all pages are built in XHTML format to W3C standards using CSS2.

Web pages and CSS documents are checked using official W3C validators.

Semantic HTML mark-up and use of CSS means the content of the page is logically set out and separated from the styling so:

Search engines find the pages easier to catalogue therefore improving rankings
Accessibility is much improved in accordance with UK legislations such as the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) and the Special Education Needs and Disability Act (2001)
Stylesheets can be produced for both printing and viewing on screen
Pages are 'future proof'

All sites are checked across a range of browsers such as IE, Firefox, Opera and Safari on both Mac and PC platforms.

Static or database driven websites created which can include the following services:

Online forms
Blogs
Forums
Content Management Systems (with file upload capabilities)
Ecommerce Solutions (such as shopping carts, online catalogue and secure payment)

If required then domain registration, hosting solutions, manual search engine submissions and google site maps can all be taken care of.

Entire marketing solutions can be provided and if required Sector 8 can produce:

At the end of each job artwork can either be supplied on disk to the client or Sector 8 can arrange for printing.

Designs are always specific to each client's needs and roughs workings or layout ideas will be shown along the way as part of the process.

Logos: Logos can be designed or can be supplied by the client. All artwork is produced in house using programs such as PhotoShop, Illustrator and Fireworks.
Photography: Photography can be supplied by the client, sourced from a number of image banks (at a reasonable cost) and in certain cases can be taken especially.
