Went for a wander round Kaikoura peninsula this morning to see the seal colonies and then in the afternoon got the scenic railway down to Christchurch, plenty more amazing scenery!
Arrived in Christchurch early evening so not too much time to do anything, got to my hostel and met a cracking girl (hi Liv) who I went for a few drinks with and spent the evening swapping travel tales. Had a nice evening and hopefully we'll hook up in Queenstown as she is heading there by car. Cheers for keeping me company Liv and saving me from an evening which would otherwise have been very quiet.
