Round The World Trip
Singapore Diary Entry
Date Posted: 11/11/2005
Ok, so Japan is over and done with and I am now in Singapore! Japan was in a word ... wicked! I was a little worried about how I would get on but to be honest it was a really good experience to be a totally alien culture like that and I loved every minute, so much so that I would like to go back! Kyoto was so pretty. Some very beautiful sights there. I got my photo taken with a Geisha girl! How cool is that?
I feel totally temple'd and shrine'd right out but there was still a million things to see and places to go that I never got to so I think another trip is a must! If anyone fancies climbing Fuji then let me know as I am seriously thinking about doing it next year!!
Well I am now in Singapore, it's very warm and very clammy. Not been up to very much today as I have been flying for 6 hours (which seems like nothing now) but never reached my hostel until about 8pm (got a bit lost). Had to do some washing when I got here (boring) so I have just chilled out and had a few beers - hoping to head out tomorrow and see a few sights, maybe meet a few people (god knows who is in my dorm as they were all out when I got here) and possibly go clubbing (got a few good club names from some locals).
Travelled to Singapore with the two girls I met yesterday which made things a little easier! Pretty much the first western people I had met in 1 whole week! They were pretty cool and we swapped email addresses as they were flying onto Bangkok, we plan to swap notes as they are heading back this way and then if we can meet up again in Sydney.
Got to do the zoo - there is a night safari which is supposed to be wicked so I will check that out on Sunday.
Well for now I am going to turn in as it is almost midnight.
I am getting far to used to operating on minimum sleep!
