Round The World Trip
Manly, Australia Diary Entry
Date Posted: 06/01/2006
Last night I was supposed to make it back into the city that night for a drum & bass do that a friend of mine was playing at but it all proved a bit too much and I was well tired after having to be up at 3am so I had to give the clubbing a miss and take it easy... which meant a few drinks in Manly and ended up with me being up for almost 24 hours, like I said, a nice easy night! Yesterday I went from Sydney Central all the way to Manly then from Manly all the way back to Sydney to go to the modern art museum and then back to Manly again so it was a little hectic.
Today I pottered around Manly and took a walk up the coast to 'the wormhole' which is a big tunnel in the rocks which was pretty cool. Managed to bump into a guy in the high street who was on my Cape Tribulation day trip which was pretty random! Had a swim down the beach... all the usual stuff you do in the nice hot weather (sorry people, I know it's cold there).
This evening Emma and I headed into Sydney to see Ian Brown (used to be in the Stone Roses!). Bumped into a guy galled Gavin from our hostel there. It was a mental concert, I don't think there was one Aussie in the venue and I think 90% of the audience must have been scally's. It was so funny. Beer was flying all over the place and people were crowd surfing, total madness!
