Ao Nang, Thailand Diary Entry

Sawaa dee! (Hello in Thai)

Today the whole group went on a tour of the islands boat trip. We were met in the morning by a guy called Bear who was going to be our guide for the day and driven down to our boat.

We were taken to various scenic places and did some snorkling before visiting Maya Bay where The Beach was filmed, it was a bit over run with tourists! We went to Phi-Phi for lunch then after that were back out on the boat for some more snorkling (on a full stomach?!!?). The boat then took us too Bamboo Island for a while which was virtually deserted and from there we went on to Chicken Island (no bird flu!) where three small islands are joined by stretches of sand and you can walk between them all.

After a day of sitting at the front of the boat with the wind our faces and the sun blazing down on us Stu and I were burnt as bastards!

That evening when we returned to Ao Nang Stu, me and the brothers decided to get a Thai massage on the beach. Best thing we could have done! They took pity on the "handsome man"... what? Me and Stu?? Anyway, they rubbed in vitamin e and aloe vera (worked a treat as the redness had pretty much gone by the next day - thank god!).
