2004 update
Another year passes and so I best write some kind of update as to what went on in 2004!
I was made redundant at the beginning of 2004 and so had to look round for another job. After one month of being laid off I was back in full employment, I hardly had time to stand in the dole queue! It was quite nice to have a months break in between jobs but I was lucky that I had things to take my time up. As for work this year… we'll have to see what happens.
In terms of travel I got to a few places in 2004. At the beginning of the year I went to Santorini (one of the Greek Islands) for my brothers wedding which was a fantastic trip. It was a "worldwide" wedding with people present from places such as England, America, China and The Seychelles… a good time was had by all. Whilst on that trip I managed to walk through an active volcano which is something you don't get to do every day! I also made two tips to New York in 2004… the first in the summer and the second later on in the year to attend the wedding of my friends Howard and Usha.
I'm still buying plenty of music (some might say too much!). The odd record is still getting added to the collection, especially after discovering the old skool gems I could get hold of on Ebay, but I am mainly sticking to CD's still at the moment as they take up less room! I got myself a 40gb iPod at the beginning of the year and I'm working towards filling that up… got about 9gb to go… carrying about in my pocket over 7000 tunes! Marvelous!
Managed to go and see quite a lot of live music in 2004 and that is something I aim to continue in 2005. Among the acts I saw perform over the space of 12 months are… Zero 7, The Roots, London Elektricity, Wu Tang Clan, Ty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blackalicious, Nitin Sawhney, Izzi Dunn, Soweto Kinch and more!
Getting a few bits of private work through coming through here and there which is all good. A couple of projects I picked up and started off in 2004 I will be finishing off in 2005 so keep your eyes open for them.
Music buying, gigs, going out and all the other usual shenanigans are still the daily plan of action!
Thanks for taking the time to find my site, have a look round and read this. Take it easy people! :)
