2005 update
2005 has been and gone so here is a brief history about what I got up too during those 12 months.
Spent the majority of the year working for QVC in London as an Interactive Designer creating work for web and cable television platforms. During my time at QVC I really improved my CSS skills after being sent on a course and spending much of my spare time with my head in books, code or surfing the net for answers. I also started to lear and understand more about web site accessibility.
As far as travelling was concerned at the beginning of November I went on a 4 month "round the world trip" which took me to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and America! I met some great people during my trip and made some really good friends. I saw and visited some amazing places and scenery such as mountains, waterfalls, temples, glaciers, beaches, tiny islands, huge lakes, coral reefs and rainforests. I took part in some great activities such as skydiving, bungy jumping, whitewater rafting, river tubing, rock climbing, kayaking, swimming with dolphins and stroking tigers to name but a few! It really was the trip of a life time!! There are so many tales to tell but I just can't write them all down here, visit the tavel diary to find out more.
Still buying music, it's a habit I just can't kick but I guess there are much worse habits! I introduced myself to some new artists while travelling and came back with music from Australia and New Zealand.
Managed to get to see many live acts during 2005 including the following… Rodney P, Tommy Evans, The Beatnuts, Snoop Dogg, Roots Manuva, The Perceptionists, Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, US3, Flavour Flav, Amy Winehouse, The Herbaliser, The Quantic Soul Orchestra, Royksöpp, John Legend, London Elektricity and Ian Brown to name but a few!
Created a few web sites for people that I know and since returning from travelling I am trying to get more freelance and contract work.
Anyway, I think that is about all for now so lets keep our fingers crossed for a fun packed 2006! :)
